What is it?
The word laser is derived from the acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission Radiation (LASER).
Lasers are defined as devices that generate intense beams of coherent (having a constant phase of difference between waves), monochromatic light or other electromagnetic radiation by stimulaed emission of photons from excited atoms or molecules.
The Focus uses laser technology to produce exceedingly detailed three-dimensional images of complex enviroments and geometries in only a few minutes. The resulting images are an assembly of millions of 3D measurement points.
The FARO laser Scanner os a portable non-contact measurement system to accuaratly capture 3D data. The system rotates 360 degrees and measures everything within its line of sight with a scan rate of up to 976,000 points per second.
Plumbness Surveys
Out-of-roundness Survey
Alignment analysis is used to assess deflections in the shell. It gives a good overview of the shell’s condition and is a good indicator of plumbness and roundness, which are assessed independently. Alignment compares shell radiias measured from the best-fit center of the tank.
